I have uninstalled and installed Office 2016. Starting the apps in safe mode doesn't help. When I close all three apps, they still appear in task manager for about two to three minutes before they are completely unloaded. If I start Excel, Access and Powerpoint, they all three struggle to get all Starting Excel gives 99% in Task Manager. A complete Office repair downloaded and installed Office 2016, and now I find that every Office app eats up all CPU resources. The flash screen appeared but immediately went away. A week ago, I found that I couldn't start Word. Have been running Office 2013 (linked from my Office 365 account) in a Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter in Azure for a year with no problems.
